Latest Updates from Our Project:
October Update - Final Manufacturing
– Thu, Oct 24, 2024 at 06:44:55 AM
Greetings, gamers! We're hitting you a bit earlier this month because we have some exciting news to share and just didn't want to wait any longer.
Manufacturing Update
So the exciting news we have to share is that we received the final manufacturing videos and pictures. So let's show off some of the goods!
And That's Not All
Not only that, but we received our mass produced copy! For those who don't know, this is a standard (and final) part of the manufacturing process. Even though we've approved of the individual components, the factory sends a copy from the mass production line to make sure that there are no problems with those copies.
We looked it over and we are very happy with it. So, here are a few more photos for you!
Now that we are happy with the mass produced copy, it's time for us to finalize arrangements for shipping containers with our distribution partners to make sure this beautiful beast can arrive at your doorstep! We can't wait for you to get your hands on it.
There's not a lot else to share at this stage, but we wanted to make sure you saw these goodies as soon as possible. As you can see, this is a huge step. It's the last stage before we move on to ocean freight.
What About Some TTRPG Goodness?
Now that the boardgame is entering the final stages, we wanted to announce our next project! If you are a true Deadite fan and want to experience the Evil Dead 2 world around your table as an RPG, we're coming up with an Evil Dead 2 RPG Supplement! It's 250+ pages of new mechanics, settings, and gnarly adventure modules designed to crank your D&D game up to eleven. This is survival horror, Evil Dead style—complete with deadite possession, supernatural corruption, and even a splash of PvP paranoia. Gear up, because you’re going to need every ounce of luck and every boomstick you can find.
The world of Evil Dead 2 is one of average people caught in unexpected situations, especially when “unexpected” means surprise amputations and showers of gore. You'll need all the help you can get.
Thanks so much for joining us on this journey! We're getting close to the end of the journey!
September Update - Everything Looks Good and Comment FAQs
about 2 months ago
– Mon, Sep 30, 2024 at 08:31:06 AM
Greetings, gamers! Not a whole lot to share this month, but we still wanted to check in. Plus we wanted to address some comments we've seen and answer them to the best of our ability.
Manufacturing - No News Is Good News
We checked in with the factory, and they assured us that manufacturing is still continuing as expected and we are still on schedule. They've sent over some photos the components being printed and packaged:
As we promised from the beginning, we'll touch base with you monthly at a minimum, even if it's just to say everything is still on track.
Well, everything is still on track!
Updated Delivery Dates
So, what does being on track mean? Currently our schedule is to have manufacturing complete by the end of October. Once that is complete, we enter the ocean freight and fulfilment setup process. Based on our estimates (which are admittedly subject to change from factors outside of our control, especially as this falls over the holiday season), that will take about 2 months on the water plus a week or two of setup time at fulfilment hubs. Then the games will be shipped to your homes, which we hope to start around January.
Add-Ons
All add-ons for this game, including the Dispel dice, will be shipped with the deluxe edition games and upgrade kits. So you will receive all of the items you ordered together in one package.
Changing Your Address
If you need to change your address, you should still be able to do so through BackerKit. We haven't locked addresses yet, and will give a couple of weeks notice before locking those down. If you still need to update your address, please reach out to [email protected]
Talking About Refunds
We did see a couple of comments from folks requesting refunds and realized that we never shared our refund policy on the original page for our campaign. That is completely on us, and we apologize for not including it before. We're posting it below so you can see it.
However, we openly admit that this is on us for not posting our refund policy originally. Because of that, we are making a small modification. First, let's list our standard refund policy, but see below if you are looking to get a refund.
Standard Refund Policy
In order to request a refund, send an email to [email protected]. Email us from whatever email account you used to back the campaign. In your email, provide your backer or invoice number, as well as your name. We will provide refunds according to the following policy. All refunds are processed in the same currency as the campaign, which may be a different amount depending on currency conversion rates. All refunds offered will be minus any campaign or credit card processing fees.
For the dates below, this is based on the day that you emailed us (i.e. it might take us some time to process your refund, but as long as you email before the date listed below, we’ll process the refund according to our policy):
If you pledged to the campaign, if you email us within 30 days of the campaign closing or until we launch the Backerkit (whichever comes first), we will give you a full refund minus any campaign and processing fees.
If you pledge during the pledge manager, we will process any refunds until the pledge manager closes. We will announce through an update when the pledge manager is closing with at least a one-week notice.
If you pledge to the campaign and add additional items in the pledge manager, we will only be able to offer a refund on funds expressly raised during the pledge manager. That is, we cannot offer a refund for funds raised during the crowdfunding campaign once the pledge manager is open. You will be able to use the pledge manager to remove items you added during the campaign and use those funds as a credit for other items in the pledge manager, for example, if you want to upgrade your pledge.
Once the pledge manager closes, we will no longer be able to process refunds. At this point we will already have placed manufacturing orders and begun negotiating for shipping.
Adjustments for This Campaign
Normally, at this point in time, refunds would not be an option because of how far we are in the process. We've already placed the manufacturing order, the Dispel dice have all been manufacturing according to order quantities, games are being produced, and we are arranging shipping. That being said, we don't want anyone to feel surprised by this policy and we own up to our not including it earlier.
Because of this, we are opening up refunds for the next week. If you email us by October 6th indicating you want a refund, we will process the refund (minus the appropriate Kickstarter and processing fees). After that time, we will not be able to process any more refunds for this campaign.
If you have already reached out to us for a refund and it hasn't been processed, please reach out to us again at the email listed above.
Wrap Up
That's about it gamers! Hopefully this gives you the info you need. We're excited to get this game to you, and thank you again!
August Update - Checking Out that Ink Wash
3 months ago
– Fri, Aug 30, 2024 at 11:18:49 AM
Greetings, gamers! It's that time again: update time!
Looking Groovy!
The latest sample that we received from the manufacturer is the ink washed miniatures. The previous ones in the sample hadn't received the ink wash treatment, so we got another shipment to verify that the ink wash turned out like we wanted to. And we've got some pictures for you.
Old Ash versus New Ash
Some of the other characters
Some critters and items
For the most part, we are happy with the ink wash. There were a couple of models where we had a few notes, and we've sent those to the manufacturer. As of today, we just received updated pictures incorporating our changes. We're satisfied with how these look, and are really excited to continue moving forward so we can get this to your table and have it look amazing when it does!
All According to Plan
Speaking of getting it to your table, we are still currently on schedule. Our current estimates have manufacturing complete as of October 20th. At that point, it will be a matter of getting everything on pallets and shipping them to their respective hubs, were they can start the final journey to your door.
Thank you again, so much, for being part of this journey! And thanks to all the folks who came and saw us at Gen Con to check out the game!
July Update - Samples Time!
– Mon, Jul 29, 2024 at 09:47:38 AM
Greetings, gamers! Yep, you guessed it from the title. We've got samples to show you!
This is very exciting because it means that the game is actually real and we are holding a physical copy here in our hands. Well, not right this moment because we are using our hands to type the message, but you understand the idea. This is incredibly exciting to share, so let's just jump right into it.
Core Game
First off, let's start with a box size comparison. Since we added all the extras content, and wanted to make sure that we had a protective tray for your miniatures, the box grew a little bit. We knew it would be bigger than the previous edition, but we had to add another 15mm beyond our estimate to fit everything nicely.
But check out all the groovy stuff inside! This is after punching the tokens and removing the clear plastic lids from the trays.
Now I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. See how much the board and playmat pop, especially with those 3-D walls!
We also took some shots of the minis in context:
Upgrade Kit
And of course, we've got a sample of the upgrade kit, showing off what our faithful backers of the original version will be getting. Everything comes in that white heavy cardstock envelope.
Next Steps
So we did find a couple of minor issues that needed to be fixed:
The upgrade kit sample we received was missing the additional cards (the ones in the photo are right cards, but those were from the core game box)
The miniatures don't have the appropriate black ink wash applied. We'll have some photos of those in a future update.
Some of the text on the play mat doesn't read well, and some of the details are too blurry.
With each of these issues, we've already let the manufacturer know about them and have submitted new files. We wanted to have a quick turn-around to keep the momentum going and get the games to you as soon as possible.
Come See It at Gen Con!
Finally, we will be at Gen Con next week! And, barring any unforeseen travel woes, we will have this sample at our booth for you to check out. If you'd like to come check out the sweet loot, see any of our other games, or just say hi, then swing by Lynnvander Studios at booth #1930. Hope to see some of you there!
June Update - Full Steam Ahead

– Fri, Jun 28, 2024 at 10:33:29 AM
Greetings, gamers! Not much to report on this monthly update, but we wanted to keep you informed as to the state of things. We're in that slow, unexciting phase of the project where we have to demonstrate that mythological trait of patience.
Manufacturing Update
We've officially received word that all of the printer proofs have been approved and all of the tooling has been fixed. This means that we are now ready for full production! This is a very exciting time, but unfortunately means we don't have a lot to share at the moment. If things go well, we shall soon have a finished manufacturing copy to show off.
Hopefully this means we'll be able to show you an unboxing of the manufacturer's sample next month. Obviously, this is a little bit out of our control, but if all goes well, we'll have some groovy things to share. Fingers crossed for that!
We've also gotten an update that some of our partners are ready to start shipping their Evil Dead accessories. This way they can all be collated and eventually our distributor can pick and pack to make your boxes of sweet loot.
